I don't know if people in the US use the words "sealed" and "unsealed", when describing roads, but in Australia these terms appear to be commonplace. In case there's any confusion, here's an unsealed road. Google Maps is very fond of (attempting to) send me down these roads. The past two days have seen rain, two more flats, dull knee pain, a lost pair of gloves, and a very sore ass (unrelated to the lost gloves). Now I sit on the border of Victoria and South Australia watching a thunderstorm rage in the distance as I debate falling asleep in my tent or heading into this campsite's game room and taking shelter under the pool table.
