Countess Erszebet Bathory is referred to as the female Dracula and the most prolific female serial killer of all time. Bathory was married to Count Ferenc Nadasdy and they lived in Cachtice Castle in Hungary during the early 16 th century. Bathory was obsessed with the occult and enjoyed inflicting pain on her servant girls. Her husband built her a torture chamber so she could practice her craft. Her interests grew more intense when she took on the belief that by eating human flesh and bathing in the blood of young women, she could stay young forever. In 1610, Bathory was put on trail for the death of 80 women but due to her position of power the only punishment she faced was isolation.
