now i had to think about this. i chose i song that i am obsessed with (yet again, like last year) and it describes my current mood as of now.

1) "Make Me Like You” by Gwen Stefani - my dad loved Gwen. He was a Beatlemanic but goddamn, there was something about Gwen.I love this song because it’s literally me every time i fall for another character. Or in this case, Calvin :III but it’s still a very catchy song~

2) “Check My Machine” by Paul McCartney - Ahh, Paul. Sing to me with your siren song voice. I stumbled upon this song while watching The McCartney Years and this is a menu song i believe. but i love the ad lib in this and this is Paul. How can i not love it?

3) “More Than I Can Say” by Leo Sayer - don’t fucking judge me. i honestly love this. I still can’t believe it’s the “YOU MAKE ME FEEL LIKE DANCING” guy. He has a very nice voice. And I hear rumors that The Beatles did a cover of this, but no one recorded it because it was in was it was when they were doing the underground gigs. you had oNE FUCKING JOB!!!

4) “Adventure Of A Lifetime” by Coldplay - the guitar riff!! oh i love it! and i do like some Coldplay. not much but I can tolerate them. and this song inspires me and it makes me feel a little happy when it comes on.

5) “Middle” by DJ Snake feat. Bipolar Sunshine - the fact Calvin loves this song makes me love it more. but i love the break in it. and it took me for-fucking-ever to find this goddamn song. WHY DON’T THEY SAY THE NAME OF THE FUCKING SONG!?!?!? A joke between me and my nephew is that they’re singing “asdfghjkl what’s wrong with you asdfghjkl what’s wrong?” during the break.

6) “Walk Straight” by uh... it’s from the Coming Out Of Their Shells TMNT Tour - Okay. so long story short, i went to Hastings with my dad one day when i was about 8 or 9. let’s go with 9 and i was in the 4th grade. i got two cassettes from the tour because they were cheap and i was like “lololololol tmnt bitchhhh” and i would play these cassettes endlessly in my dad’s truck. and because i got two, he would be like “okay, enough” then take one out and put the other one in by mistake. as revenge, he played me The Cars and Elton John, but i didn’t mind. anyway what makes this special is that we went on a field trip one day and my “homeroom” teacher was a math teacher. and she made us listen to this weird music that was like “4 x 4 is 16, 4 x 5 is 20″ and they were rapping it. and the beat sounded like Walk Straight so i learned the words to Walk Straight instead of math.

7) “Carl Sagan” by Night Moves - i love how melancholy this song sounds. it’s chill and it’s just... there’s no words. and it kind of reminds me of a Beatles song but i think that’s just me???

8) “Acquainted” by The Weeknd - i love The Weeknd. he’s just... his voice is just so melodic. honestly... this song reminds me of Calvin too. //snorts. anyway one of the videos for this song on youtube is a bunch of slasher film clips to this song... and it doesn’t fit but it makes me laugh and cry. Because one scene is Michael Myers and Freddy, then I see Anton Yelchin from Fright Night :(

9) “Summer” by Vanilla - i’ve been listening to a lot of vaporwave since November of last year. this beat is pretty chill and i love it. but every time i hear it, i think of Will Smith and how out of place the video is... like why did you use Halloween is Grinch Night???

10) “Enjoy Yourself” by Saint Pepsi - thank you Leafman for this blessing of a song. i can’t stop listening to the full album either. 10/10 recommend.
