Introducing: The Harlow Field Bag. My search for this bag began when I was 14 and got my first Moleskine sketchbook. It went with me EVERYWHERE and completely changed the kind of bag I needed to carry. My life doesn't fit cute little purses because THEY don't fit my sketchbook. I needed something with quick access that was more structured than a satchel - those ended up being a cavernous Mary-Poppins experience where everything got jumbled and you could never find/predict what you would reach in and pull out. My @alvindrafting pencils are my other constant companion and I needed a way for them to travel safely so their delicate tips didn't get smashed and bent. This bag was inspired by 1940's WWII cartographers bags. It's designed to perfectly fit an artists needs-on-the-go and is named "Harlow" after my very first character from my very first series. @howlandhidesupply and I are releasing a limited edition set of 25 of these bags - 100% of my collaboration portion from the sale of these bags will be donated to Endometriosis Research. This is a project I'm thrilled to offer other artists like me who have struggled to find their "forever" bag - in a way that might hopefully help fund girls like me getting medical help and treatment to live pain free lives. Surprise! I'm going to be in LA one week from today for just a few hours at the @vdgn pop up shop on Abbot Kinney in Venice Beach! I'll be there Friday the 25th from 6-9pm. @vitalmarks and I will be releasing 3 new collab designs and we will both be at the shop with the ever fabulous @jaredingold. Jared will be there being beardy and cool, Daniel will be there being adorably awkward and I'll be there being my own weird self. I'm so excited to start sneak-peeking a special collab I've been working on since April with my buddy Christian @howlandhidesupply. He is such an incredible person and his passion for his craft is infectious. This project started for me with a quest that began when I was 14 years old and sitting down with Christian to talk about it (for a 10 min convo that ended up lasting 3 hours! 💕) felt like a conversation we had shared together in another life.
