Un­ger’s first pro­fes­sion­al typeface—Markeur (1972). This sans serif for nav­ig­a­tion­al pur­poses was dir­ectly linked to the then-ex­ist­ing tech­no­logy of en­grav­ing let­ters on plastic: the en­grav­ing sys­tem Pan­to­type from com­pany En­schedé was used to make signs based on Un­ger’s draw­ings.
