Logan exited the subway station with his cousin and sister following him talking him out of what he wanted to do. Last week, he and Jamie had a moment, he knows she felt it too. It was a late night, Ben was sleeping on his couch after they’d all returned from another secret and discreet outing. The trio had been getting together twice a week since she arrived and he was falling for her all over again. Last week, he stared in her eyes, and wanted to kiss her, though just as quick as he was about to lean she pulled away. She decided to leave and has been avoiding him ever since. At first he wanted to give her space, but he couldn’t stop thinking about her, and he didn’t want to be in this situation anymore.
The two women were bickering, “Logan, you’re putting a target on her back for the Devils.” He finally turned around to stare between the two women. “Enough.” He looked at hem, “Between you two and your dad.” He spoke looking at Parker. “I’ve heard enough, and frankly you’re all wrong. Colin got to her once, I’m not letting him get to her again, not with Ben.” He watched Parker’s brows furrowed, as that was something he hadn’t told her yet. Well she was about to find out. “Both of them are safer close to me than leaving them alone like sitting ducks. This isn’t just an ex-girlfriend, this is my family.” Without another word, he turned to start walking to the park, he knew Jamie and his son would be at. He could hear Parker asking a billion questions to Natalie, “Ben? Who the fuck is Ben? Also come on, is he really calling this girl family? What family? She’s just one person?” He marched towards her, as Ben was playing with the dogs. “Jamie,” when she turned her head in response to her name. He didn’t give her time to react, or say anything before gently placing both hands on her cheeks and pulled her face close to him planting his lips on hers. He knew that Parker and Natalie were watching and he didn’t give a shit, or whoever else could be watching. He pulled away after a moment. “I’m not losing you again.”
