to make things easier this month, we’re doing sign-ups for ALL events in a single post. please read everything carefully before you sign up.
event one: hear me out cake! — just like our previous round robin games, this one will be more similar to the oversharing salad event! the upcoming post will have all the details, but for a general idea, take a look at how we did it before HERE.
event two: culinary clash! — we’re doing our own version of chopped! you’ll be paired up in random teams of two and given four mystery ingredients along with the type of dish you’ll be making: appetizer, entrée, or dessert. the competition will span a week, giving you time to write out any hilarious kitchen mishaps and decide together what you'll create if you wish. more information will be detailed on that post when it time comes.
to sign up for a specific event, list the event name followed by your character(s). for example, if you only want to join “hear me out cake,” you’d write:
hear me out cake: amy, sara, john. or simply write both to sign up all your characters for every event.
the deadline for signing up for the events will be wednesday, november 6th, at 9pm cst. comment below all names of characters or dm us to sign up.

Just a quick heads up: if the behavior from some of the anons from this blog doesn’t improve, we’ll have no choice but to shut the blog down. We’ve hit a point where it feels like we’re just going around in circles with the same drama and the same people. Let’s be honest, that’s not fun for anyone.
Some of the things we’ve had to delete have been a little disappointing, and honestly, we know you’re all better than that! Please, stop trying to use this blog to try and force characters out or stir up unnecessary drama—it won’t get posted and never has. It becomes obvious when there’s an agenda, and we won’t allow that to continue.
There’s a big difference between creating silly, fun IC drama and making someone feel bad OOC, and we want to keep it on the fun side! This is RP, after all! This blog is here for playful IC interactions and some lighthearted drama, but never to genuinely hurt anyone. Let’s keep things enjoyable for everyone.
Please, let’s avoid crossing that line—not here, not anywhere. 🖤
whether you’re celebrating thanksgiving tomorrow or not, we just want to send some warmth your way. for those who are observing, we hope you’re surrounded by love, laughter, and good moments. and for anyone who’s not feeling so connected to the holiday or is having a tough time, we’re thinking of you too.
the world can feel heavy, and sometimes finding things to be grateful for isn’t easy. but even in the hardest moments, there’s still a little bit of light to be found, and you’re not alone in that. take care of yourselves, and we wish you all comfort, however you need it.
we’re truly thankful for each one of you—the creativity, kindness, and unique perspective you bring to mayhemhq is not lost. each of you adds something special, and it wouldn’t be the same without you. one thing we, as mods, are especially grateful for is you. we appreciate everything you contribute, and we’re so glad to have you as part of this group.
take care of yourselves and remember that you’re always a valued part of this space. we’re grateful for you, today and every day. 🖤
any mod inquiries and other requests will be addressed as soon as we can tomorrow, but things might be a bit slower as we’re taking some time for the holiday. we’ll be back to normal on friday morning.
Our event, Grim's Hollow Haunt, is just 11 days away, and we're excited to share all the details of what's happening that weekend! The 19th & 20th is the is the weekend that it will take place. All shows and ppvs on this day are prerecorded, regardless of if your character participates or not.
The setting takes place in a secluded cabin on the outskirts of Salem, MA. We’re bending reality a bit for this experience. The sprawling three-story cabin is isolated, surrounded by vast open land and eerie trees. Despite its remote feel, it’s just a short drive from Salem, where your characters can explore the city if they choose.
We invite you to click THIS link to read the fictional tale of Barnabas Grim and the legendary events that inspired this experience. It’s designed to feel like a local legend—stories pieced together over time through rumors and hearsay, blending elements of the supernatural with Salem’s own rich history.
With that in mind, we’ll be sharing starters the 19th and at least posting one dash game on the 20th to spark interactivity and creativity. Starters / prompts will mostly be one-liners inspired by the story and the cabin. During this trip, feel free to let creepy, unexplained things unfold—have fun with it!
Again, both important links worth checking out: here and here!
Now, to explain how the weekend will go:
We're all staying in the cabin—or at least, that’s the idea! There are plenty of rooms, and even multiple couples can share if they’d like. Remember, this isn’t just about romance; it’s about enjoying the experience together. When else will you get to do something like this? Of course, it’s perfectly fine if your character isn’t affected by the supernatural—after all, not everyone has those experiences in real life. But, at the end of the day, it’s all for fun!
Saturday during the day, feel free to explore Salem and whatnot. Do whatever you wish until nightfall.
The carnival kicks off Saturday night around 6pm CST. In canon, it will be set later to capture the feel of darkness and mystery. We encourage everyone to dress up in Halloween costumes for the event! Feel free to share your character’s look, but it’s not mandatory. For those managing multiple muses, use this time to draft posts or brainstorm outfit ideas. You can find all the carnival highlights on this page—just imagine a spooky yet thrilling carnival atmosphere. Keep in mind, this is the only October event featuring Halloween costumes, so take advantage and get inspired by the attractions listed!
Sunday night around 6pm CST, we’ll be hosting the final dinner: Grim’s Last Supper. You can find more details about it here. We encourage everyone to wear Victorian Gothic-inspired attire—think dark, rich colors, suits, dresses, and the like. Feel free to get creative, but keep in mind it’s a dressy, elegant, and formal dinner party. To keep things lively, we’ll also share a drunken Truth or Dare / AMA dash game that night for a bit of fun. One of us will link a drunken text generator if you really want to embrace the vibe!
Please, please make sure to reach out to inboxes that night and get as wild and weird as you want! Just keep in mind that it’s all for fun, and we want everyone to have a great time. Also, be considerate and avoid reblogging the game IF you will not be around to participate. Reblog to only the number of muses you can handle, too. Don’t get overwhelmed. Let’s make the most of the night!
We know there’s an NJPW PPV that weekend, but we decided to host this event a weekend earlier since the actual holiday weekends tends to be packed. Many of us have other OOC gatherings then, and some will be busy on Halloween night itself, so this felt like the best choice for an engaging and interactive event!
Quick question for everyone: would you like to have a plot twist during the final supper? Maybe something fun and unexpected, like a dare gone wrong or a creepy scenario that could (somewhat) realistically unfold? There’s always the classic power outage, but we know you all are super creative and might have other ideas! It’s not a must, but feel free to share your thoughts below so we can brainstorm together if something comes to mind.
get ready for another round robin writing event! this time, we’re playing “pass the talking stick.” just like in school, we’ll pass around an object, and only the person holding it can contribute. but instead of talking, we’ll be crafting a collaborative story together! this event will go live on tuesday, september 24th, at 12pm cst.
in order to participate in this event, please like this post or comment below which muses (if a sideblog) that you wish to have participating. if you’re more comfortable, send us a message with your muse’s names. please specify names so we don’t have to search and not just “all.” the cutoff date to sign up is tuesday, september 24th at 9am cst.
please do not sign up if you do not plan to be around. in order to keep the story moving, if you are tagged for your turn and do not contribute within 12 hours of that tag, your turn will be skipped, and you will be notified by the admins. the cutoff date for this entire activity will be sunday, september 29th, 2024 at 9pm cst.
how this will go:
once all of the participants are accounted for, we’ll randomize the list. this randomized list will determine the order in which posts will be made and reblogged, and it will be shared in a separate post. once the list of names is posted, check the order to see where your muse falls. also, make a note of who is before and after you.
you are to write 2-3 sentences building on the last person’s reply to continue the story and then tag the next person in line. this process continues until the sequence loops back to @mayhemplus. for the person who is last in the sequence, “the end” does not count towards the sentence requirement.
make sure to cut tag your posts. for those using xkit, please leave the mayhemplus starter reblog with the “once upon a time, there was…” post at the top. this ensures a clear view of the story and its progression.
the last name on the list will tag back to @mayhemplus and we’ll post the story in full for us all to read.
to check out our last event like this, please go here.

I only mentioned it as you said this before. Being active elsewhere but going on hiatus here is rolehogging.
𝙉𝙊𝙏𝙀.
a reminder: if you ask for a hiatus, you are not to interact on the dash until you’re back. that means any sort of posting; interacting, musings or photos unless it’s a semi-hiatus and discussed with us beforehand. it’s not okay to use hiatuses as an excuse not to interact! while real life always comes first, we are happy to grant them and we ask no questions, but please be mindful of the rules.
in that part of the reminder, we were just trying to address something we’ve seen happen sometimes—where people request a hiatus but are still liking posts or interacting in selective ways. it can come across as being selectively social, which isn’t really in the spirit of a full hiatus.
the idea is that if someone needs a break, they should fully step back, unless it’s a semi-hiatus that’s been discussed beforehand. focusing only on one ship or dynamic while on hiatus doesn’t contribute to group-level activity, and we want to keep things fair.
at the end of the day, we can only focus on what happens here within the group. what people do elsewhere is entirely their business, and we just want to make sure we’re staying within bounds and respecting everyone’s privacy.
hope that makes sense! there’s no fault here at all—we’re just trying to maintain a fair and balanced approach as mods and i hope you can understand that, too. 🖤
we just want to acknowledge that recent events might be hitting hard, and that’s totally okay. take all the time you need to process—it’s important. we don’t get political here (this is still rp, after all), but we know that everything feels like a lot to carry. so seriously, take the space you need to gather your thoughts and feelings. we’re in this together. don’t feel like you HAVE to be around, if you need some time. we get it. we also get that this might be an escape for you right now, and that's totally okay. there’s no right way to feel or process things—whatever you’re going through is valid. no one is 100% right now, but just know this will always be a safe space for you. your feelings, your identity—they’re all valid. sending all the good vibes to us all right now. 🖤
just a quick and friendly reminder about the upcoming mayhem on the strip games. we’ve got 36 spots open across 6 different games, each with 6 to 8 spots available. both team captains have been working hard, both ic and ooc, to make sure everyone is aware of the sign-ups and the chance to get involved. keep in mind, no one can be in more than one game, so there are plenty of chances for everyone to participate. if the captains are repeating names, it’s only because some people didn’t sign up!
we understand it can be easy to miss a message or two, but both team captains have been, again, super active about this, both ic and ooc, so there’s been lots of chances to sign up. we’d love for everyone who wants to participate to get their spot. so, if you’re interested, jump in before it’s too late! there’s no room for complaints if you didn’t respond to the sign ups ic or ooc.
please understand, this is rp—it’s meant to be fun, and no matter what, your experience is what you make of it. we’re all about inclusion and giving everyone the chance to be part of something cool, but we can’t force anyone to join in or hold hands to ensure everyone has a good time. your involvement and attitude will shape how much you get out of it.
we’ve worked hard to create something new and exciting, but at the end of the day, it’s up to each of you to dive in and make the most of it. we’re here to support, but your rp experience is yours to create. remember, it’s about all of us coming together to try something new, different, and fun with our characters in silly situations outside of the usual ring or party scene.
let’s be honest, there are only so many proms, dances, and other typical events we can do before they start to feel repetitive. this is a chance to shake things up and get creative! everyone’s effort truly matters, and the more we all get involved, the better and more exciting this event will be for everyone. it’s a fresh way to engage, and your participation helps keep it fun and lively!
we’ll have a post going up late friday night / saturday morning, where we’ll re-announce everything in small, bite-sized pieces for easy reference. remember the rules, and feel free to start making plot posts after that announcement is posted. even though the event is canonically two days, we’re going to leave things open for a week, so everyone has plenty of time to write, post, and participate without feeling overwhelmed. we want to make sure everyone who wants to get involved has the chance!
hope to see you there! xo, @mayhemhq
