I think Carol and Lydia’s relationship could be about the closure of Carol’s tragic past with children. And in that scene Lydia let go of her mother/Alpha’s mask, I find Carol and Lydia’s relationship to be a mother and daughter relationship, but also like mirroring each other. “Carol and mini-Carol.” I hope to see more of them.
