YOU ARE SIGNIFICANT.
I was in the car with my friend the other night. We had been out Pokemon hunting (I know) with another friend of ours, making that three people. My friend, let's call him John, had said he was tired of walking and was going to sit in his car for a while. My other friend, lets call him Jack, said okay. Jack and I walked around for another twenty minutes before getting in the car with John. "I want to go home," he said. We agreed. John dropped Jack off first and then he went on his way to take me home. He was incredibly quiet and solemn. I asked him if he was okay. "Not really," he had told me. "I kind of want to get into a car wreck, but I won't because I have precious cargo on board." I didn't quite catch what he meant. "That's you." He told me. I now sat in the back seat, rendered speechless. I've only hung out with John a few times. Talked with him a lot, but I didn't think I was significant to him. As we pulled into my driveway, I told him that if he ever needed any help, to just text me and I'd be glad to help him. He thanked me and left. What I took away from this, was that no matter how small I feel sometimes, I make an impact on people. I was someone's reason to keep fighting. Always remember the impression you leave on someone, and never doubt that someone else is fighting their own battles.
