Harry is often thought of as the lead of one direction. With his versatile voice and charm, Harry was a fan fave. Now as a solo artist, Harry continues to distinguish himself from his bandmates. Due to his popularity his voice type is often debated, so lets see where he belongs. 

Tenor

Harry Styles is most often called a tenor. Harry doesn’t possess the comfort and natural ease a tenor would have in the upper 4th octave (Sign of The Times F4s, FourFiveSeconds F#4s, Best Song Ever G4s, Sign of The Times A4, Drag Me Down B4s). He has little comfort here, although his technique doesn’t help. A tenor would sing here with more ease, meaning Harry must be a baritone. 

Lyric

It is often noted that Harry’s voice is dark, and this thought can lead to some thinking he is a dramatic. Harry’s voice is simply too light and warm to be a dramatic, no matter how gritty his technique makes his voice sound.
