She watched the whole thing mostly because--she happened to be just there. Plus she was bored--well, not really, exactly so, she just happened to be walking around trying to find a way to finish this new project before due date.
Due dates. How she hated those. One of the things her mentor had to fight her on, at least, like her mom was used to saying a lot lately--there was someone who could handle her and could make her do things. But her proudest moment was that she felt as if Hyeri grew, which was sort of a disguise but at the same time not really? But really, Hyeri knew something changed. In the fact that she was less impulsive.
Enough at least to not barge in the discussion--not even that, happening in front of her until a family was throw out in the streets and that was when she stood up and went to crouch next to one of the ids that was holding onto the bags that the men were throwing out. Hyeri's hands reached over to take the load off the little boy's shoulders.
"Man, then they sit and say the wealthy ones are the ones who cause this poverty, I wonder, are y'all wealthy, to the point of puking money? Is that way it's so easy to chase a family off its land because you need to charge some more in? That'd make sense, kinda." She spoke aloud, almost scoffing without even glancing up at the men still throwing everything that the family owned out. She knew what they were, loan sharks, loved to do this. Ruin an entire family long as what belonged to them, returned to them
Plus it probably wouldn't stop to this, they'd take the house, then everything else, then threaten and pressure for the rest of the money if there was any left by the time they sold everything. She saw it happen at times, knew how it worked because she knew some of them, were friends with some of them. But on the net, it was easy to ignore what type of job your contact was involved in.
