Yay, $150 bonus!
It took a little time and the resolution of a little glitch, but K. and I got our $150 new-driver bonuses yesterday! Thank goodness. I could really use the extra cash.
It turns out that explicitly using my personal referral link -- https://lyft.com/drivers/laurie198 -- is key. Lyft has informed us that new driver referrals must come through the "appropriate channels" in order to qualify for the bonuses. The glitch in our case was that two applications were accidentally created, one with my code and one without, and the one that went forward was the one without. Honestly, I'm a little skeptical that they couldn't have figured out the intent, but the important thing is that they honored our bonuses.
