A pampas fox (Lycalopex gymnocercus) in Urupema, Santa Catarina, Brazil
Despite the name, pampas foxes do not belong to the 'true' fox genus, and are in fact more closely related to wolves and jackals. This genus of South American foxes are often known as zorros or raposa.

Also known as hoary zorro or raposinha-do-campo (little fox of the meadow), they live in south-central Brazil. South American foxes are not "true" foxes. The hoary fox mainly eats insects.
