Printed these identical Pyramids in the soon to be released @colorfabb_official expanding LW-PLA to show the amazing properties of the material. The Pyramid on the left is printed in normal PLA settings at 205° Celcius and normal print speed and came out at 243 grams. The one on the right is printed at 270° Celcius. All speeds 40 mm/s and flow rate only 40%. This one is only 81 grams and is exactly 3 times lighter than the one printed in normal settings. This stuff is amazing. I also love that it almost looks like a Carbon filled material after it's printed in high temperatures. Great invention by ColorFabb. @colorfabb_official is releasing another great material soon. This material can be printed like regular PLA at around 205° Celcius and when you apply more heat to the filament it can expand up to 3 times. For example, The ColorFabb mascot on the left is printed in purple N-Gen and resized to 75% and is 34 grams. The other one is printed at normal size in the new Expanding LW-PLA at 250° Celcius and is only 16 gram. The last couple of weeks I've been testing an awesome new material by @colorfabb called LW-PLA (Expanding PLA).
