Describe something that happened this year that inspired you to make music.
“For me, the inspiration is rather impulsive and unpredictable. I had a yearning to express myself in a fun way recently and recorded some more upbeat guitar just for the fun of it. Any reason to get creative and make some art is a good reason. Last year I was just pissed off. That was the energy I harbored and needed to get out.”
How has the changing political landscape the last 12 months impacted you personally?
“The political landscape has made it hard for members in my community to get the care and support they need. The trans panic has resulted in an impossible job and housing market for the trans community, not only in Missoula, but in the entire USA. This has resulted in a lot of fear and uncertainty which over prolonged periods of time, really wear on a person.”
If your track were another great work of art, what would it be & why?
“I don’t really have a good answer for this, I’m sorry. This is not specific but I think my track would likely be some sort of psychological drama thriller if it were a film. I was so deeply in my head when I created the album that I really don’t know how to compare it or any of the songs to anything. I’ll leave that to others.”
