also with the reality shifting, some of it sounds like maladaptive daydreaming, which is also uhh not fun. it's people willing themselves into pretty large amounts of dissociation, and sometimes delusion, for the sake of being part of a community or funsies. and those who already struggled with this will be dragged further into it. anyway ur right and u should say it.
We have most certainly heard the connection to maladaptive daydreaming, which is in and of itself another mental disorder that deserves respect and awareness. Our only issue with this connection is that we have high doubts the billions of viewers and thousands, if not millions, of people partaking in this all have some type of daydreaming or dissociative disorder. (<- This second sentence is not a direct response to you, Anon, but merely thinking out loud and further statements on opinions.)
Reality shifting is a horrific trigger for us, as it plays off the anxiety and possible paranoia many have regarding our reality not "being real". It is a dangerous rabbit hole, especially for those who are already struggling with their mental health. Ultimately, we believe anyone who partakes in this to seek out mental health resources rather than...projecting into their "desired reality".
A teenager's brain is still forming, and is very impressionable. To teach children that this is okay and real is horrific, and should be counted as endangerment for children; at least, some of us think so.
Thank you for the encouraging words at the end of your message, as well. /Gen
