well they are not very fantastical but the way i always imagined narnia to be it’s a place that in it’s vastness and beauty consumes humans that are not used to seeing anything untouched by them and in that way the paintings are narnian. so i guess yes, we could call them that. and they show a deep longing and need to escape to someplace else
