Yoga with Adriene... and cats. They didn’t try any of the moves, but they sure were excited about watching.
The governor issued a 21 day “stay at home” order a couple hours ago. Honestly it doesn’t change much from what I was already doing, and I’d already expected (and still believe) it’ll turn out to be way more than three more weeks, but something about putting it in words...
My work team agreed (over Zoom of course) that if they’d called staying at home for three weeks a challenge, everyone would’ve jump right on it ages ago and we’d be done with this by now. But since we aren’t, I’m glad the weather’s supposed to start getting better next week so I can start running outside.

Morning meltdown 15 and 16
Well. I went to the gym over lunch and got in a walk and some weights. My coach gave me leg workouts to do and I only made it through 2 sets when he wanted 3. He told me not to rush through them but to make them super slow sets. Let me tell you - that sucked. Especially when I had to do single legs. Which is why I could only make it through 2 sets. Hopefully I’ll make it through all 3 next time.
Then I get back to work and of course my work crush is standing there talking to my teammmate and I look like crap. So I sweatily run and change into my work clothes but oh well. Like me for me, what can I say.

The gym was way too crowded to get a good workout in, but since I was there I did manage to do 15 min on an exercise bike and 15 min on the elliptical. Kinda bleh.
I was all set to crush four days of lifting this week. And then some things happened:
a non-work but work related and important meeting was scheduled for Thursday at lunch. (a coworker/friend is helping me get better at SQL, but his boss told him to stop training people on company time). to be fair, we have different bosses, and mine didn’t tell me not to learn on company time, so I may be able to count the meeting as work and also go to the gym if Thursday isn’t super busy.
my dad was admitted to the hospital, and then transported to the bigger hospital about an hour away (the transfer is pretty standard in our small town, our hospital’s mostly good for delivering babies and referring you to whatever bigger one can best handle your issues). the heart valve they put in like a decade ago is failing, but they think they can fix it with a stent going in through his leg instead of open heart surgery. still, whenever you deal with the heart it’s big and scary and who knows what might happen or when/if I may need to drop everything and go be with him and/or help out my mom.
I got to work yesterday and realized I had no gym shoes here, which means no lifting.
Next week is also a little crazy as my sister, niece, nephew, and their dog will be here (my brother-in-law doesn’t have enough vacation to join them). So this week and next I’ll go to the gym whenever I can and alternate between redoing the week 1 workout and cross training, then I’ll pick up week 2 after the fam leaves. Today was lifting, same workout as last week but I added weight wherever I thought I could.
Not sure if the high level of sweat was a result of the workout or of the fact that my gym desperately needs to revamp their HVAC
