I want to draw all of these things but alas, itty bitty free time
So really I've only been making TADC fanart for a month and change? So I probably shouldn't be too mad at myself for being a little inconsistent from piece to piece as I try to figure things out, but if I'm being honest I think a huge weak point for me so far is that I'm extra inconsistent with Pomni. I've already admitted that I doubt that I can follow her in-show model, but in the meantime I haven't really figured out my own consistent proportions and style for her. Are her eyes perfect circles or nah? How proportionally large is that woman's head? Up to the vibes!
I tried doing a character sheet with everybody, but if I'm gonna keep this up I probably need to sit my butt down and really devote a whole sheet to just Pomni, or try to knock out a long, shitty, sketchy comic where I draw her over and over again until something sticks. Point being, assuming the movie doesn't either devastate me or creatively inspire something else, my loose plan for the near-term future after Ep 9 drops is draw some (non-spoiler) Pomnis!

Ah, the divine ecstasy of struggling to draw a hand in a particular pose and then finally getting it to be not great, but pretty decent - certainly not remarkable enough to draw attention in the overall composition! I love adequacy and finishing things!
I think there needs to be a German word for the mild embarrassment you feel when you’re signing a birthday or a condolence card for your coworker and you write something deeply generic and impersonal because you can’t think of anything that’s better or more appropriate
Today I am thinking about the iOS hug emoji:
and wondering where the hell it came from and why it seems so stylistically separate from the other iOS emojis? I’m inferring that the figures are in a color that’s meant to be a cool, race-non-specific silhouette-y color, which is swell, but uh. WHY is there zero practical contrast between the figures? It could be Just Fine but at emoji scale it looks like lumpy nothing.
Now I’m down the rabbithole with this going through the emojipedia article, and it looks like everyone else had the correct approach of making the two figures at least a slightly different shade or color:
So what in the hell iOS? Fix this, I have people in my phone that I need to hug
