a helping hand

You barely knew Myung-gi, much less talked to him, but you noticed the subtle looks he made in your direction. Or when you single handily killed someone attempting to take advantage of you, he gave you an admiring look.
Those little moments would save your life.
During the Knives and Keys game, you were blue. You had to hide and wait for the timer or find the exit. Neither of them you had the ability to do.
Hiding in an isolated room with children designs on the walls, curled up into a ball. When you heard a click, someone had entered. You grabbed the knife you had stolen from someone and pointed it at them.
They tackled you and stabbed your leg multiple times. Screaming out in pure agony, Everything stopped.
You felt as if you were going blank, like you knew you would die. You screamed and screamed, until you felt the guy seconds away from piercing your eyeball fall limp in your arms.
You looked up, seeing Myung-gi. He held the knife in one hand. With the guys hair in the other. He threw the man off of your lap and noticed your bleeding leg.
“Hey, Hey, don’t shut your eyes. “ He grabbed his jacket and tightened it around your wound. It stung, like absolute hell. But it simmered down a bit as he tightened the sweater.
There was literal seconds left, so once the game ended, he carried you back to the main room.
“Are you alright?” He asked concerned. “Obviously not!” You screamed. You just got stabbed. What does he think?
He sat you down on his bunk and removed his jacket from your wound. It felt as if the world was crashing down on your shoulders after getting a five minute rest.
The zipper from his sweater was digging into your wound, making it even worse. You clamped your hand over your mouth and let out a muffled scream.
He quickly moved the sweater and gently touched the wound. “Does it hurt when I press down on it?” He asked quietly.
You nodded, not trusting your mouth to keep quiet.
He took off his shirt, put his jacket on and used his shirt to clean the blood.
“Tell me if it hurts too bad.” He applied the smallest amount of pressure to help clean the wound.
He laid down next to you, remembering he has never even said a word to you before all of this.
“Im Myung-Gi. I already know your name. Why are you in here?” He asked, pointing to your red patch on the jacket.
“School debt, a large loan I cant pay back.” He nodded, even though his reason was completely different. The lights were already shut off, the soft snores and breathing the only sound to be heard.
“Are you really going to sleep in my bed?” He asked, you didn’t even have to look at him to hear the smile on his face.
“It’s not like I can move.” You chuckled back.
Myung-Gi fell asleep with your head on his chest, your leg elevated and his gently massaging on your thigh, despite the sting, it still felt like heaven.
Every few hours he would wake you up to check on your leg, and on you.
It was clear you both wanted to make it out of here, together.
