Concern showed on Flynn’s face, clear as can be as he watched Estellise struggle to find the words over what seemed to be bothering her. Whatever it was, it was clearly bothering the young woman judging by how anxious she had been for the better part of the day. Flynn wasn’t the greatest at reading people– No, that had always been more of Yuri’s specialty than his but he liked to believe he knew Lady Estellise well enough to be able to spot when something was bothering her.

Still, upon hearing her actual thoughts, he couldn’t help but pull a hand to his chin, looking rather thoughtful. Worry too much? She had a tendency of fretting over things but Flynn would be lying if he said he wasn’t the same way.

“Well… I suppose that depends on your definition of ‘worrying too much’. But… worrying too much– would it be so wrong if you did worry too much? I personally believe that worrying too much is better than not worrying at all.” Still, Flynn frowns, bowing his head just slightly in her direction.

One of the many downsides of being a mage was needing to simultaneously be aware of one's surroundings and being able to concentrate on casting. Rita knew it as fact and always expected enemies to focus on her at some point when it came to battle. Usually, she didn't have to worry too much. Their allies were stronger now. She was stronger than when she'd started the journey, too. Able to hold her own more easily, or so she convinced herself. But not all battles were created equally.

The last fight they had been in should have been simple enough. She'd been in the middle of casting when a monster had come charging at her, and she was forced to try and stop so she could get away. That hadn't exactly stopped her from getting hurt. In her effort to get away from the monster in question, she'd rolled her ankle and ended up in quite a bit of pain.

Thanks to the heat of battle, the most anyone had seen ended up being her getting back up and trying to act like nothing happened. Which, for the most part, Rita felt like she succeeded at. The monsters were defeated, they could continue on their way, everything was great. All she had to do was ignore the pain and try look as normal as possible.

Then Estelle noticed her wince. That was all it took for Estelle to be on her with that classic Estelle worry. She was grateful, really. The others might have given her hell. Not Estelle. Still...

"I-I'm fine, Estelle," Rita tried to insist, cheeks reddening a bit in the process. As she shifted her position a bit, instinctively moving and putting more weight on the injured ankle, she winced again and had to bite back a pained noise. Well... so much for hiding it. Now Estelle would definitely be onto her.

“Estelle it’s fine, it’s not even that deep...”

The fight hadn’t been particularly tough, just the usual scrapes and bruises left by any other monster battle... Everyone else was fine but it seemed the last of the brutes had gotten a good hit on the mage while she was casting. It wasn’t too deep, but the blood was pretty obvious... It spread across the fabric of her shirt in a nasty pool of crimson, soaking the red a deeper shade.

The pain wasn’t bad, though, just tender, and Rita grasps the princess’s hand’s before she can begin her healing arte.

“If you use that on me then you might not have the energy for someone who needs it.”

Unwrapping the belt from her midsection Rita lets out a small noise, maybe it wasn’t as shallow as she thought...
