Screw every single Marrowbreach in this game. And screw the multitool doing absolutely nothing to creatures. Its a solid titanium Axe/Hammer hybrid, youd think that would make hostile creatures back off for a bit when you bonk them but nope.
Apparent they hate bright lights though. The headlights on the Wakemaster & the flashlight make it stop attacking you for a bit if you shine it in their eyes. And the sonic resonator does make it back off but good luck timing that.

So on Subnautica 2, I'm not sure if my fiance should trust me with the beacons when we play. My reason for saying that is Subnautica & Below Zero. I know for a fact the chaotic beacon names will happen in Subnautica 2.
Some hilarious names were "There Be Dragons", "Spicy Caves Below", "Sea Emperor's Jail" & "Spooky Hole 1".
"There Be Dragons" is the Active Lava Zone. The reason I used that was genuinely because there were dragons down there.
"Spicy Caves Below" was the entrance from the lost river to the inactlve lava caves. Self explanatory for that one.
"Sea Emperor's Jail" :[ this makes way more sense than you'd think. It was the entrance to the facility that had the Sea Emperor.
"Spooky Hole 1" was the Blood Kelp Zone by the mushroom cave that lead to the Lost River. It was a big o ravine/hole so that's what i put.
I think my flare just bugged out because it stayed lit for almost 5 minutes. The marrowbreach I yeeted it to distract was so fixated on it I actually was able to explore.
This. This is the kind of stuff I want. I don't wanna hurt the fishes. Just give me better distraction options than a flare that lasts 30 seconds.
Hilarious Subnautica 2 Headcanon: NoA can see your PDA Database & sees everything you scan just like he's another player.
My NoA node is probably so done with me. If my Headcanon is true, he gets notified of me scanning dangerous creatures. Sometimes he gets a dangerous creature databank entry right before being notified he has to reprint me and just stares at me questioning if I have the crazy feed the tree condition this planet causes.
Its not that NoA, just be glad you cant see my version of Riley. I scan everything that I can. I've scanned the Reaper. And the sea dragon. And the ghost. This is not new. You just gave me a viable way to make me dying after each one a canon event.
NoA recently saw the combo of Collector Leviathan pop up in my PDA & "LuminDidIt has died of extreme physical trauma" we all know what happened there. My fiance also got to see that on his screen.

I'm playing Below Zero again and the descriptions of some foods have me laughing. Especially food ones. Putting some of my favorites below because I'm laughing so much.
Cooked Triops: Its a bottom feeder & it tastes like it.
Cured Triops: Good fish tastes like the sea. This fish tastes like the seabed. (Someone really didn't like the triops with how these descriptions sound)
Cooked Discus Fish: Tastes like hot plastic. Decent water content. (Cured Discus apparently tastes better according to the PDA. Mmmmmm salty plastic)
Cured Spinnerfish: Against all odds, it tastes like a popular brand of Alterra orange juice. (Genuinely curious if grilled spinnerfish is any good because all it gets is a joke description)
Preston's Delight: Delightful... to some. (Given its scan data I'm surprised were allowed to eat this at all)
So I got to play Subnautica 2 with my fiance again. That was a fun experience. We decided to use my survival world because I'm further along & he doesn't play much. Will summerize experience with ▪︎ points

▪︎ Got to see what I ment when I said it's Beacon Hell. There's at least 10 beacons in this world that are all my fault. Watched an 11th one pop up.
▪︎ He only had one adaptation so we had to get the Heat Tolerance & Digestion adaptations. I had to taxi him around on Levias (main tadpole)
▪︎ Nearly died on the way to my house because apparently 4 nibblers have set up shop right outside my house & I never noticed.
▪︎ Watched me get mauled by a Marrowbreach. Was not prepared for it to literally grab me & swim around with me like I was a chew toy.
▪︎ Played Lucifer Rotsac Dodgeball.
▪︎ Got to see the size shifting Hanging Tailings Pot in my Bioreactor room. Even he thinks it's weird.
▪︎ Has heard me insult every hostile creature in the current version of the game. From repeatedly calling the collector "Squilliam/Squidward" to calling a needler "Needlepoint" & all the fun things I've called Marrowbreach
▪︎ He decided he wanted to check out my abandoned tadpole called "Collector Bait". Found out why it was abandoned without even leaving Levias. Cue the Collector chase scene. Thank the gods for the ray chassis.
