It started off in 1998 as a gathering and casual grilling out among Hermanos at a D.C residence. In 2001, Hermanos Alberto Dominguez and Angel Florenzan brought the BBQ outdoors to Rock Creek Park and established what would become one of LUL's largest social events. 14 years later, LUL DC Weekend is an opportunity for LUL to celebrate its accomplishments and future, with Hermanos, Greeks, Families, Friends, and Guests. What was once solely a BBQ, has become an exciting and jam packed weekend full of activities for every one of all ages and walks of life to enjoy. Although the weekend has grown 13-fold, and we’ve added 3 days of non-stop fun, a double decker Yacht, and a party bus in order to meet demand – at its very essence, this event continues to serve as a catalyst for building on relationships, establishing new ones, and rekindling others.
