Tonight...an amazing sunset in the Carolinas. A storm is coming - these are thunder heads. But the sun as it is setting is shining through. It made me wonder - in the midst of the storm is my "light" shining through? So much going on in the world! So much going on in the USA! I can make a difference by being the "light" shining love all around me, the "light" shining concern and empathy for those who are not like me, the "light" shining truth when I see injustice happening in front of - even screaming at those perpetuating that injustice to stop, the "light" that stands for what is right when those around me are doing wrong. In love I will confront when I see wrong being done. I will not be silent in my love! I will speak my love, show my love, shine my love! Yesterday started out rainy and then turned into a gorgeous fall day. We needed the rain. When the clouds receded and the sun shone bright, the colors of this ornamental grass really popped! That's what it is like in life... When it's gloomy, we need to let ourselves feel and express those emotions that we're dealing with rather than bottle them up inside. It's part of our humanity. Then, as we clear out that negativity our own inner light is able to break through and shine, casting light upon the beauty around us. Our bright positivity, even coming out of our dark and gloomy not only makes us more beautiful, but the "shadow of beauty" lights up all around us and others see it and feel it. I know, some would say that's pretty deep for me... It's so true...if we know in our hearts that "this thing" is what we're supposed to do and we've pursued it with everything we have, sometimes it's literally "waiting for the right time" and the rest of the world catches up and the moment is NOW!
