Luke 7: 36-50 Paraphrase
A Pastor invited Jesus to eat dinner with him at his hose, so he went and sat down at the table. When an ex-prostitue heard that jesus was eating at the pastor’s house, she had brought Jesus a bottle of perfume, and as she stood behind him down at his feet, crying, she began to clean his feet with tears. Then she wiped his feet off with her hair, kissed his feet then poured her perfume on them. Then the Pharisee said to himself, “If this guy was on of God’s chosen ones, he would know that she is a prostitute.” Then Jesus said, “Simon, I have something to say.” “Tell me, teacher.” “Two guys owed money to a guy that gave them money. one of the guys owed him five hundred coins, and the other guy owed him 50 coins. Neither of them had the money to pay him back, so he told that that they didn’t need to pay him. So which one of  the guys would be more thankful?” Simon then replied, “I guess the one that owed more money.” “You have guessed correctly.” Jesus said. Then jesus turned towards the woman and said to Simon the Leper, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house, but you didn't give me any water for my feet, yet she cried to wet my feet and wiped them with her hair. You didn’t give me a kiss, yet this woman hasn’t stopped kissing my feet since the time i entered. You didn’t put oil on my head, and she perfume onto my feet. All of her sins have been forgiven, since she loved so much, but he who has been forgiven little loves little.” Then Jesus said to the woman, “Your sins are forgiven.” The other people present started to talk to each other saying, “Who is he forgiving sins?” Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you, go in peace.”
