I haven't played the other two but Celeste's difficulty is largely optional. Reaching the ending is challenging but beating it 100% is CRAZY fucking hard. Which normally doesn't bother me, but the optional content in Celeste is really well made. There are entire unique areas and content that come after you beat the main game, so you feel motivated to see it through.
I probably should have clarified. Celeste is the only one of those games I’ve actually played! And of course, me being stubborn, I played it without using the assist mode while aiming to get 100% completion. And, unsurprisingly, it was very challenging and wound up burning me out a bit.Â
I’m interested in Hollow Knight and Dead Cells too, but they’re also games that I’ve heard are quite hard. If they’re even harder than full difficulty Celeste, then I should probably pass, but if Celeste is harder then I think I’ll give them a try!Â
I found a great one recently but I'm not sure if it'll continue to be translated: Asahinagu, a sports manga about naginata fighting with a female protagonist and almost entirely female cast. Written by a woman, 0 fan service or grossness of any kind. I REALLY enjoyed the chapters so far and like the protagonist. Really hope the group translating it keeps it up :p

I’ve been reading Asahinagu! It hasn’t blown me away or anything, but it’s a nice story and I hope it continues too. I also read the first couple of chapters of Kumo Desu ga not long ago. I like spiders (more theoretically than in person) but I didn’t continue it since it just didn’t grab me enough. I might in the future though if the plot ramps up!Â

I've been watching Kyoukai no Rinne (also known as Rin-ne) and there's no fanservice like other Takahashi series and the cast is fairly evenly split between male and female. There are kind of co-protagonists in Sakura (female) and Rinne (male). I'm not sure if the manga lacks fan service, but we seem to lack a pervert character like most Takahashi series so that helps greatly.

Oh man, I've always thought that a good way to bring Metroid to the current generation would be to take lots of cues from Dark Souls and Bloodborne. Exploration, environmental story telling and a constant sense of isolation and danger are exactly what soulsborne is all about. Additionally, the intertwined open world design of their worlds is heavily inspired by Metroid and Castlevania. I would pay good money for this :p

I haven’t played the games (I caved and was going to buy Bloodborne when I saw it on sale last summer but then I realized it was a PS exclusive so that went nowhere fast), but I’m sure that there are a good number of gameplay and world elements that would work well if they were used to help guide Prime 4′s development.Â
I get excited thinking about how amazing a full Switch based Metroid game with the same kind of brilliance and effort that went into BotW could be, but I also get apprehensive over the chance of the game falling into the series’ established pitfalls and repeating the characterization mistakes that went down in Other M. It’s gonna be a looooooong wait for me until we get to finally find outÂ
