The other biggest concern was... I don't want to leave these characters behind afterwards. But I've already worked out what to do with them, and will probably start a silly side ask/RP blog with comic drawings + oneshots thrown in for fun. I didn’t die. Gotta finish the thing. O_O;;;;; I’m still glad and humbled that people are so keen about wanting to read more. You sustain me. But I feel like I’ve let you down. - K

Oh my, it was only a matter of time before somebody asked this. While LTRFWTM is intended to be familial/gen (because not every character bond HAS to be romantic), Surgey and Ricktus have had a long-term working brolationship since Surgey picked Ricktus up from the first ship-attack incident. It’s always been multilayered and based on hierarchy, but under B-526′s gold badge, they’re now equals and no longer have that inferior/superior dynamic going on. If you didn’t notice it, Ricktus really began relaxing his serious duty-driven nature during the events that take place over Chapter 35. But of course… you wanna know if they ever screwed each other, right? Probably. Surgeon Rick is an opportunist prick, and like a 7-11, he’s open 24 hours.YEAH I WENT THERE.…there’s no getting back together because there was never anything formal.

Did you know that @unlvcrjchick​ is amazing? I finished the chapter around 2pm AEST, and it was done by 3:48pm AEST. Thank you so much again for turning word-missing textual vomit into readable stuff. <3  So, this chapter kind of took over two months, and was only 12k. It’s not a great production speed, but as mentioned above, it was difficult to get through some of the more recent plot-notes. What really helped this time around was being able to climb out of the funk and taking a break by doing some freeform sideplot on the Rick and Morty RP Discord Server, which you should totally join if you’re into that sort of thing. Note: I’m RPing them at current-day show canon, rather than the 2001-era time that the fanfic takes place in. I’ve known where I’m going since the beginning, so it’s been nice to touch on that, FINALLY.  If you’re not into that sort of thing, go read the chapter k words words words, something something something, the next chapter is going to be utter hell.  Yay! - Kat PS - Please consider leaving a review!
