The LTHP battery information
1. What is the LTHP battery from Thunder-Sky Winston (TS-WB)?
The LTHP is the next generation of the lithium cell technology designed for high capacity applications. The LHTP cell's cathode material is made by fluorine compound and the oxide lithium yttrium. The anode active material is made of nanometer carbon fiber and artificial graphite.
2. What is the purpose of the LTHP battery?
The LTHP cells are intended for large capacity solutions, e.g. large traction systems, energy storage etc. Only large capacity cells are going to be manufactured. (e.g. 250AH, 500AH and more.)
3. Is the LTHP battery commercially available?
No. As of October 2018 the LTHP cells are not available for sales. The technology is still under development. GWL/Power will announce the availability of the LTHP in the future.
4. Can I order at least just few samples?
Sorry. The samples are not available as well. When ready, GWL/Power in co-operation with Thunder-Sky Winston battery will start offering complete and mature product.
5. Can I get the datasheet with final specifications of the LTHP cells?
There are some preliminary datasheets available on the TS-WB web site. However these datasheets are only indicative with estimate target specifications. When final products are available in the future, the final and official versions of the datasheets will be made available. GWL/Power will be offering these data sheets only when the final version will be made ready.
6. Why is there no information about the LTHP cells at the GWL/Power web page?
As explained these cells are not commercially available yet, that is why there is no information at the GWL/Power web page. We will release the information in the future when the cells are really available.
7. We have a project that will be running for many years. We wish to plan for the deployment of the new LTHP cells. Can you assist us?
As the LTHP cells are not available now, we do not recommend creating any project with cells that do not exist on the market. We recommend making your projects with the existing LFP (LYP) cells.
8. When LTHP cells are finally marketed in the future what will happen with the LFP (LYP) models?
GWL/Power together with TS-WB plans to keep marketing the LFP (LYP) cells. Because of the increased demands the LFP (LYP) cells production is being constantly increased. As with the LFP (LYP) cells that are on the market for 15+ years, the production continues, the future coming of the LTHP cells will also take many years and the LFP (LYP) and LTHP cells will be co-existing together for many years.
