Forearm stand on fist . . “It should be easy” my first impression of this pose coz I was able to do a headstand and thought this pose and headstand are the same thing. . . Then I practiced and realised that I couldn’t get into the pose no matter how hard I tried. I felt powerless (the physical way). I couldn’t get into this pose and was pretty confused. . . Until recently, I’ve been working on forearm stand and added strength training to my daily practice. Then I finally realised it was my shoulder strength that hindered me from the pose years ago. Instead of a variation of headstand. This pose is a variation of forearm stand as it mainly focused on shoulder strength while the head is for extra support before we build enough strength on the shoulder to support forearm stand. . . I thought getting into an upside down pose has to have strong core. Yes it is ! But the foundation is even more important than that! For all inverted poses, your upper body is the foundation!!! The base where you build all things above. If you are anywhere stuck in an inversion pose, do some upper body strengthening work before you go back to the mat. You’ll realise the amazing change. If you’ve been stuck in any poses, put them down awhile, practice on something else, go back to that pose after sometime, you’ll find magic. . . Maybe your body need to digest all the information you give in, give it time, don’t give up yet because you are frustrated that all the hard work you put doesn’t show, you just need a little bite more patient and persistence 🌱❤️ 。 。 。 #forearmstand #lsmyoga #yoga #yogagirl #yogalife #inversion #practicalmagic #hongkong #workout #fitnessmotivation #瑜珈老師 #yogainspiration #yogateacher https://www.instagram.com/p/B3Rql3BguED/?igshid=1rp09we1zkhxn
