She comes to a halt before one of the friable brick walls, her hues peering at the dull plate that seems to be plastered against it; Its surface is covered within thick layers of dust and dirt, small cobwebs clinging to it for dear life. Curiously, and with the distinct knowledge it’d possibly contain their location or in the least the name of the building, she reaches for it, crouching, swiping away any of the obstructive material. What clears into view are the faded letters of the founder. The very founder of their school. “It looks to be the old campus of London Royal.” Riven mutters thoughtfully, the dirt on her sleeve brushed off absentmindedly as she glances around.

Good lord, is it almost Christmas? Because looks like Matthew Bay decided to dress up as a holy knight this halloween. I’m already dreading the sincerely bad puns he’ll be throwing around all evening. At least he’ll be doing a better job at getting girls wet than usual - with his toilet brush and holy vodka. For heaven’s sake, perhaps we should just cross this boy off the invite list.
Cautiously, Matthew pulled out his in-vodka-soaked toilet brush. Unable to trust his eyes any longer, he used it to reach out and poke the shoulder of the silhouette in front of him. “Oh thank god, you’re alive.”
She trembles in her wake, gaze fluttering swiftly, her mind quivering with the fear of realization. Not again, not again. Her breath hitches, small arms wrapping around the base of her knees. Please! She chokes then, stifling on a sob. Her stomach appearing to clench together and her chest heaving with shallow and rapid breaths. This couldn’t be happening. Not now. The darkness of her hues blink in the scarce light provided, staring at the vibration in her fingers her anxiety provokes. She sniffles, allowing herself three minutes of wallowing before she has to run. One. Her fingers shake unequivocally. Her mind a whirlwind of thoughts, of terror. Two. She tries to slow her breathing. Almost time. Run faster this time. It’ll come. Three. It’s funny she thinks, with a morose sense of humor that is vile and dark, how her sneakers appear to cling to her feet. They’re not bare. She’s never had the vantage of shoes before. RUN.
Scrambling to her feet, Daphne leaps forward. Stumbling across the wet grass, moving within any direction. She’s found it doesn’t matter, just don’t stay within a clearing. It’s as she’s darting across the grounds, her lungs constricted with a lack subsequent air and panic, that she notices the absence of the forest. Of the willowing trees and their outstretched branches. Instead, getting clearer, is the sight of a vast looming building. Its walls tall and friable, an eerie sight in the blackness of night. In her distraction she doesn’t realise the silhouette of a person carving itself within her view. With a thud and a stumble, she collides against them. Her world shaken. There aren’t suppose to be any others.
STUDENTS GONE MISSING DURING FIELD TRIP. On october 30th local news has reported that a group of students, enrolled within the supposed ‘prestigious’ Art School of London, have gone missing. While the group was to arrive at ‘Tate Britain and Tate Modern’ for an Art & Design excursion, inside sources reveal that they never arrived. Sightings of an empty school bus have, however, been made later in the day by several bypassers, claiming the bus was ‘just standing there, in the middle of the road.’ The police is as of yet skeptical about the matter. Chief Inspector, Hank Hughes, let us know he thinks the disappearance may be a possible ‘halloween prank’ and that the students will turn up eventually once all the fuss dies down. When we asked about the possible speculation of the teens having travelled within the now abandoned school bus he had no further comment. Citizens and parents, meanwhile, have been growing concerned about the whereabouts of the young adults, demanding for a more thorough investigation. None of the students have as of yet been sighted since this morning. We can only hope the Chief Inspector turns to be right and this was all just a very clever and thought-through endeavour. DETAILS.
During this event, the students of lrsoa will find themselves trapped within the old and abandoned building of London Royal; Once the original bearing grounds of the school. With no way out and strange occurances taking place throughout the night they must survive in this haunted and ruinous place. As the night of october 31st progresses they will find themselves in more and more trouble as not only the impossible becomes reality but everyone trapped within the building find themselves affected by the aura of this old school. It appears to specifically haunt the mind, playing tricks on the students and making them face their worst sins.
Campus: ( Characters will be granted access to all places on campus unless stated otherwise (i.e. for plot purposes.) but please remember they cannot leave the grounds. Additionally the campus will not be in a good state as it is old and abandoned. The walls will have cracks and the buildings will be near crumbling. Water tabs will be barely or not at all running and the lights will flicker occasionally before bestowing you in complete darkness. )
Hauntings: ( The grounds will be heavily haunted by the supernatural. You are left to fill this in as you please (i.e. werewolves, vampires, ghosts, demons, the dead, or if you want to go more mind-blowing; hallucinations, demonic possession, etc) but please keep in mind the plots of other members. Furthermore, your character will arrive very much human. If you’d like for them to become inhuman please write out their transitioning. Their Worst Sins: ( As mentioned above London Royal will have an effect on your character’s mentality. While it is not required to write out this plot, we’d love to see characters try and cope with being confronted with their worst sins or even fears. )

This event will start on OCTOBER 26TH AT 1 PM EST and end on OCTOBER 29TH AT 11:59 PM EST. Please hold off on posting any thread or starter not related to the event until it is over. Please put all posts related to the event ( including any private thread starters, pictures, anything related at all, ) under the tag #LRSOA:HAUNTED.
This event is optional. Your character does not have to participate. Characters that do not partake in the event will be excused from the activity check until the 29th. Please remember that all threads prior to the event will be paused on the dash until the event is over.
Due to the nature of this event we ask that you be considerate and put any explicit content under a read more as well as tag any potentially triggering subject under the rightful trigger warning tags.
For this event only all supernatural occurrences will be allowed on the dash. Go as wild and crazy as you want! So long as you remember that once the event is over the dash will go back to the main story and timeline.
This is an AU event. Meaning everything that happens during it will not have occurred in our main story and timeline. This event is supposed to be a fun way to explore different scenarios for your character(s) and celebrate halloween!
Any and all major plots must still be run by the admins. However, if you’d like your character to come to a gruesome end during our horror show, you are allowed to do so without informing the main. Provided that you write it out properly and remember that once the event is over your character will never have died in the first place. If we see too many characters being killed off this rule will be removed. Moreover, characters being murdered by other characters will have to be approved first!
While the rules have been slightly bent for this event’s purposes, godmodding is still forbidden. This includes writing or talking about another character having transitioned, died, and/or controlling their actions in a fight between your muses or otherwise, unless the mun has given clearance to these plots or their permission for you to mention it.
