Elyanna - Woledto on vinyl.
Got some Galaxy express 999 records.
It came with a lot of extras like behind the scene stuff, cel scans of some of the scenes in the show/movie and even a calendar. What gets my interest is that this is one of the very rare moments where you can see the TV-series in HD since Toei animation wonāt rescan most of their old shows.
SOUNDGARDEN Echo Of Miles: Scattered Tracks Across The Path (Vinyl Box Set)
via The Sound of Vinyl
>>
The collection was curated and hand-selected by guitarist Kim Thayil. Echo Of Miles: Scattered Tracks Across The Path is the first time an official Soundgarden release has included more than 26 years of rarities that have appeared as B-sides, album bonus tracks, EPs, soundtracks, compilations and live recordings, a must for any fan of the band.
LP 1 & 2 , dubbed āORIGINALS,ā is filled with Soundgarden-written songs, mainly B-sides along with some soundtrack and compilation selections in addition to two unreleased songs on vinyl which go back as far as āSub Pop Rock City,ā originally included as part of the 1988 compilation, Sub Pop 200. The two unreleased tracks on this disc are āKristi,ā a 1996 outtake from the Down on the Upside sessions which is reportedly drummer Matt Cameronās favorite Soundgarden song, and āStorm,ā a brand-new track recorded in early 2014.
LP 3 & 4, āCOVERS,ā offers a stellar showcase of songs from bands who Soundgarden love and admire, from classic rockers The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, The Doors, Black Sabbath, Jimi Hendrix and Sly and the Family Stone to punk pioneers The Stooges, the Ramones, Fear and DEVO. Showing their sense of humor, Soundgarden also cover songs by Spinal Tap and Cheech & Chong. The two unreleased tracks include the Beatlesā āEverybodyās Got Something to Hideā¦ā and the Sly Stone track āThank Youā¦ā, both of which were originally recorded for a BBC Radio 1 John Peel session in 1989.
LP 5 & 6, āODDITIES,ā offers a wide-ranging combination of instrumentals, remixes and demos. The unreleased tracks on vinyl include āTwin Tower,ā penned by Matt Cameron, which was originally recorded at Seattleās London Bridge studio in December 1988 during the sessions for Louder Than Love. āNight Surfā is an instrumental performed by bassist Ben Shepherd which the band used to open their 1994 tour in conjunction with an introductory film which screened before they took the stage. Steve Fiskās new remix of āThe Telephantasm (Resurrection Remix),ā a song originally released for 2011 Record Store Day, has also never been available on vinyl before.
My Ego Told Me To by Leigh-Anne on CD and vinyl with a signed insert and poster

This is my updated Def Leppard LP collection. I'm still trying to collect all the records, lol.ššš¤š»
My vinyl records (41-45)
Hey! I guess this is my first official vinyl collection update of 2019 ^^ Didnāt expect the first update to be so far into the year. There hasnāt been any album releases this year that I was thrilled with so I guess thatās part of the reason why.Ā Iām honestly a bit disappointed in the stuff thatās been released so far this year. I was planning on buying James Blakeās new album, but he didnāt even release it as a vinyl :c But anyway, now Iām here with an update, and I canāt wait to share it with you,Ā ācause I got some pretty nice things ^^

Nothing But Thievesā self-titled debut-album (White coloured vinyl)
This one is special to me. I got it from my boyfriend at Christmas (so technically this oneās from last year) I remember I showed him this album about a year after it came out, and we both loved it and listened to it together a lot.Ā I guess he probably bought it, because he knew it was something he would like to listen to, and probably also because he knows Iām a sucker for coloured vinyls :p
Favourite tracks: Drawing Pins and Itch

Alex Turnerās EPĀ āSubmarineā (10ā³ vinyl)
I remember I discovered this album when I was in my Arctic Monkeys phase. I was pretty obsessed with their music, and when I found out that Alex Turner had made the soundtrack for a movie i of course had to hear it (and watch it). I fell in love with the soundtrack (not so much the film) and to this day this album is still one of my favourites to sing along to :)
Favourite tracks: Itās hard to get around the wind and Hiding tonight

florās albumĀ ācome out. youāre hidingā (Signed vinyl)
This is the third version of this album that I have bought. Iāve told the story already about how I ordered the coloured version and they sent me the regular one, but towards the end of last year I found out that they had released a signed version of the album as well - so obviously I had to have that as well c: I actually thought it was the coloured vinyl with a signed cover, but it turned out to be the regular coloured record. So what I did was, I took the coloured one and put in the signed cover ;) Smart, I know. Iām planning on selling the other two, so if youāre interested in buying them you can just message me ^^
(I know I already posted pictures of the back and the record but Iāll just post them again anyway)

Mark Solborg, Evan Parker & Herb Robertsonās albumĀ āThe TreesāĀ
This oneās a bit different. I went to a concert with Evan Parker, Mark Solborg and Peter Bruun a couple of weeks ago, and I thought it was incredible. I think the concert was about 40 minutes, and all of it was improvised. It was mesmerizing. But also hard for me to comprehend. They had several different records for sale, so of course I had to buy one. I went with this one, because it featured all of them, and the concert we had just heard was based around the same concept, I was told. I donāt imagine itās gonna be my most played record, but itās a nice souvenir, and great inspiration ^^
Favourite tracks: SkyrƦkker No. 1 and Apples, Apples

Nirvanaās SingleĀ āCome As You Areā (Picture disc)
This oneās also a bit different. I got it for my birthday from one of my friends :) Iāve never seen a picture disc before (I do have the SBTRKT one which is kinda similar), so this is very special. I was confused at firstĀ ācause there was no cover for it, but I guess it makes sense,Ā ācause itās something you want to display (I was told that youāre not supposed to play it) Itās definitely one of the coolest looking records I own ^^
Favourite tracks: Endless, Nameless and Drain You (Live)

So thatās it for now! I hope you enjoyed ^^ Hopefully Iāll be back soon with another update, but right now it doesnāt seem like thereās much music coming out this year that I would want to add to my collection - so if Iām gonna add anything, itās probably gonna be older stuff :)
My vinyl records (36-40)
I know weāre already a couple of days into 2019, but I actually got some more records right at the end of 2018, that Iād like to share with you - so this isnāt technically the first vinyl post of 2019, consider it the last of 2018 ;)
I got most of these for Christmas, so most of them are older albums that I had put on my Christmas wishlist. Some of these are among my favourite albums of all time, so I really hope you enjoy :D

Disclosureās EPĀ āMoonlightā (Limited edition 180 gram 12ā³ vinyl)Ā
I know what youāre thinking;Ā āOh, you only got thisĀ ācause it saysĀ ālimited editionā on it, right?ā Thatās not entirely true. Yes, it was a deciding factor in me buying it for myself as an early Christmas present, but also; itās SHINY! (so shiny in fact, that it was quite difficult to get a decent pic without my own reflection on it) Iām kidding, of course. All of the songs on this EP are great! They were originally released as singles throughout 2018, and then I guess they decided to release it as an EP. You canāt find the EP on Spotify or iTunes, so I guess itās kind of a vinyl exclusive :) I like their new sound a lot, my only complaint is that I wish there were more than 5 songs c:

Incubusā albumĀ āMake Yourselfā (180 gram 2LP)
This was the first album by Incubus I ever heard. I donāt understand why I hadnāt heard about them until a couple of years ago, but Iām glad I found them,Ā ācause their music is so interesting. This record, and the rest of the ones in this post, are all ones that I got for Christmas. For me, this album has some very distinct memories linked to it. I had just moved out, and was trying to find myself, and I think this album helped me in a way. So Iām glad I now have it in my possession :)

Incubusā album āMorning Viewā (180 gram 2LP)
Of course I had to have this album as well. I guess I was looking back at my Incubus phase with a kind of nostalgia when I made my wishlist for Christmas c: I think these two albums look great in my collection, but of course itās mostly because of the music on them, that I wanted to have them. I think this album in particular is quite experimental, which I really love! Itās also less pessimistic thanĀ āMake Yourselfā, which is nice sometimes.Ā
Favourite tracks: Echo and Wish You Were Here

SBTRKTās self-titled debut album
This is one of my favourite albums of all time. Not only is the artwork amazing (the inside matches the yellow on the cover c:), but the music is so interesting and different. This album reminds me of driving through the city at night while looking up at the streetlights. I actually made an entire playlist thatās basically inspired by the sound of this album. I havenāt made it public yet, but Iāll look into getting that done,Ā ācause Iāve found a lot more music with the same kind of vibe, that I would love to share with you :)
Favourite tracks: Pharaohs (feat. Roses Gabor) and Hold On (feat. Sampha)

SBTRKTās albumĀ āWonder Where We Landā (2LP)
I canāt decide if I like this album more than the previous. I think the cover art of this album looks absolutely stunning, but itās hard to compare the music on it, even though it is the same artist. I think this album is more experimental, which is a big plus for me :) It has the same kind ofĀ ācityā vibe, but itās also very varied, whereas the songs on his debut-album feel like they have more of a connection to each other. But I think I can say for sure, that this is the most amazing-LOOKING album in my collection - but since I canāt even pick a favourite between my two SBTRKT albums, thereās no way I can pick the best-SOUNDING album in my collection - the different types of music I have are just too hard to compare.
Edit: I posted this before actually listening to it on my record player, so I didnāt notice the beautiful design on the back of the second record. Itās probably the most awesome-looking record I have in my collection ^^

So thatās it for 2018! In total I have added 32 records to my collection this past year - thatās almost triple the amount I started out with at the beginning of 2018 :O If it keeps escalating like this Iām gonna be very poor very soon. But Iāll probably try harder to contain myself in the new year. And 2018 just happened to be a year where both Born Ruffians, Ball Park Music, Disclosure, Bad Sounds, Arctic Monkeys, flor, Cosmoās Midnight, etc. released their new amazing music on vinyl, so I think that was one of the biggest reasons for the shocking increase of records in my collection. If youāre wondering about the 2 records missing from this list, donāt worry! - Iāll include those in the next update I make :) I wanna hang on to theĀ ā5-records-at-a-timeā format, otherwise I imagine people would get overwhelmed. Or bored. Or both. Anyway, thanks for now, and see you later! :D
