here is part 1 of my first try at a reductive linocut, and my first ever two colour. fingers crossed it works out.
We recently added Le Serigraphe to our print library, despite that fact that it is entirely in French. I had flicked through it while at the Pompidou bookstore earlier in the summer and was so taken with the easy to follow imagery and instructions I thought it would still be a must-have. It got me thinking about some other print titles I have enjoyed over the years too and I've shared a couple here.
Low Tech Print - a catalog of contemporary printmakers working in the handmade realm.
Dying and Screenprinting on Textiles - the name says it all! I never trained specifically in textile printing, so this book was super informative.Â
Pulled - Another catalog of screenprinters but a totally different group, certainly a testament to the variety of work currently being produced in the medium.Â
The Printmaking Bible - a constant go-to in the studio. Covers all print mediums and does so in a thorough and incredibly informative manner.Â
