In honor of the anniversary of Love Run by The Amazing Devil, I’m going to post a picture of the little project I did for myself :)

I found a wall hanging at JoAnn Fabrics that had a forget-me-not on it, as well as its scientific name. I painted around the flower with yellow and various tints and shades of blue to match said flower. Then, I proceeded to write out my favorite lyrics from TAD songs throughout all their albums

On the back, I put a list of all the songs I put on the front, in order (the songs below the line are the ones I couldn’t fit). The dots correspond to how many groups of lyrics I wrote from each of the songs. Of course I had to start with Elsa’s Song, which actually mentions forget-me-nots :)

6. What stories or characters (or even real people) are connected to this song in your mind?

This is one of the songs where I never really had a connection to an actual story before, mostly just vibes. Ballgowns and chandeliers and cigarettes and laundromats and the house my family stayed at when we went to Scotland when I was 15. But I just listened to it again with this question in mind and the characters that immediately popped into my mind were.. kinda OCs? They're characters from an incredibly self-indulgent daydream about a princess and her maid falling in love (that will never be written down anywhere ever). The intersection of the fancy vibes of chandeliers, champagne and company shares and the mundanaty of roundabouts and doing the laundry in the song hits a similar spot for me than the part of that daydream where the princess learns about the maids life.

THIS ALBUM HAS EVERYTHING. Kings and pirates and pillow dens. Showers and laundry and New York City. War and wallpaper and watching Netflix. Honestly, what more could you want?
