TS Series Requesting Rules and Overview 🫶

The Overview:

I’m starting a new series!!

This series will be based on Taylor Swift's songs, using her lyrics as prompts.

The goal is to have at least one fic for every one of her songs!

The catch? I’m only accepting one to two lines per request.

What might a request look like?

For example, if you wanted me to write something based on part of You Belong With Me, you would look through the lyrics of the song, and pick out one to two lines that stick out to you!

It would look something like this:

Hi! Can you write something for (insert player name) with “And you’ve got a smile that can light up this whole town, I haven’t seen it in a while since she brought you down” from You Belong With Me?

It should be pretty short! Not an entire verse or chorus!

Why do I only want a couple of lines instead of a verse or the whole song?

For one thing, I think it’ll be more of a challenge for me! I could write something that doesn’t correspond with the song if I’m only using a line or two.

For another, it gives me more room to be creative! As said before, I can only do so much if the whole song, or a big chunk of it, is used.

Lastly, I want to write as many of these fics as possible! If we use smaller portions of the song, I can do multiple requests for one song instead of being limited to one or two!

Would I accept a request for longer parts of the song?

In short, probably not. Like I said, I want to do this as much as possible, and it’s not fair to others if someone were to send in an entire song, and I couldn’t do anything else from that song.

That's not to say I would completely ignore it!!

I would probably just ask the requester to narrow down the lyrics a little bit or ask if I could pick something from the lines they've given me.

Overall, this is something I’m really excited to do!! I already draw so much inspiration from Taylor’s songs, so I’m excited to see what I can do with just bits and pieces of them.

I hope you all are just as excited for this as I am! I want you all to participate, and hopefully, give me some fun, challenging stuff to write!
