He works as a photographer in the city and does his best to fit in whilst keeping his magic a secret from all non-magic people except his best friend Will. Merlin would like nothing more than to live an ordinary life, but the Druids have one cardinal rule: Druids marry Druids. Merlin has been fighting to get out of an engagement to Mordred for several years to no avail, but when Arthur Pendragon enters the picture, sparks fly...only for Merlin to learn Arthur and his family hate Druids. With Arthur oblivious to Merlin's heritage, Merlin will have to choose between telling the truth or feigning ignorance, and possibly losing everything he's ever known along the way.
