It is absolutely understandable why nearly everyone sings praises of this special.

It has created characters that had no prior appearance, that never truly interact with our main cast. But it shows just how much the StrawHats impact a normal person, just by simply existing.

They are not just characters that now exist in the one piece universe, they are characters that are meant to represent us, the audience. It shows just why some people find so much comfort and joy in them, even if we never actually 'meet' them. Because they never needed to in order to change the course of our life.

The characters don't even have names, just titles or nicknames. They dont have an identity and yet we find ourselves in them nonetheless.

The Girl admiring Nami because she is someone who has incredible adventures in a world where the the ones with devil fruit powers or muscles usually only do, chasing after a chance to just give her a letter only to sacrifice that chance to make sure they escape.

The Bookstore Girl being stuck with a normal job, crying over not getting a ticket to Soul King's last concert, only to be helped by the little shits she has to kwleep chasing away to find Brook, who she does not care is a pirate. She just wants to hear his music.

The Older Brother, who still doesn't like his brother, but even then knows he would risk so much to save him, because he saw and was inspired by Luffy, who went through hell in that same war.

The Benevolent King of the Waves hold so much affection for Chopper, finding him so adorable that this man tried to find any other way to let this kid survive, even if he remained loyal to his duty.

And their lives all intertwine, simply because in some shape or form, they hold affection for a Strawhat.

They have puzzle pieces that tie together a story that is important to them, and maybe only them.

But it's there. And its what changed their lives.
