Give it to her to want a different sort of food when there’s food sitting right in front of her waiting to be devoured. And it’s his treat too, all out of his pocket. However he’ll humor and a good look at the time tells him that there’s enough time to sneak some pizza in if she wants to. “It’s not too late, it should still be open.” He pauses to take another well deserved bite from his treat. “Your treat right?” In between munches he asks, he’s one of culture and can’t say no to free food should the opportunity for some ever present itself before him.

“ hm.  i have always known lorenz to be well-versed in trends.  i am certain his hairstyle is reminiscent of only the highest alliance couture —– evidently the likes of which even you are not aware,  dear hilda. ”

she opens her eyes. eyelids flutter, she catches a candy gaze. fingers move from her shoulders, straightening out the other’s armor and clothing. they eventually end at her hands, enveloping them with her own palms.  “   you have a purpose now. we all do.   “   brows twitch, hands tense.    “   don’t let it change you.     “    she’s much more serious.    “   hilda.    you have to change it.  i believe in you     ——    if you lose yourself, one piece is all it takes to come back. remember your delicate heart, as well as the unabashed love that resides in it.   “    mercedes raises one of hilda’s arms, and places a chaste kiss onto the line of her knuckles.    “   i’m so proud of you.   “
