Reina’s not exactly the type to be incredibly busy. She’s usually got things going on, but they’re rarely ever important enough to make her stressed out or, let’s face it, neurotic — especially not since moving to Catalina. With the restaurant opening getting closer, however, she’s finding herself with more and more tasks being piled onto her plate and honestly, it’s becoming a bit much to handle, which is where Lourdes comes into play. “Lourdes,” she starts as she enters the room, the girl’s name being the only preface she gives before diving into a full-fledged rant. “I need you to go pick up my dry cleaning after you take Iris to gymnastics later. And then stop by that place by the dry cleaners and get me a dark roast, and get yourself something if you want. I can’t stand this shit coffee I keep making anymore.” She hasn’t looked at the girl once, too busy trying to multitask and craft an email to some artist in an attempt to get an ice sculpture for the opening, and she absentmindedly digs through her purse to find her credit card before she hands it to Lourdes. “Oh, and could you grab those paint swatches from that place we got paint for the bathrooms in the restaurant? They have them set aside for me. I know for a fact they gave me the wrong fucking color because it doesn’t match the swatch I chose, but I want to take a picture and prove it to their smug asses because they keep insisting it’s correct. I swear to God, I’m losing my fucking mind with all of this shit.” Finally, she looks up, cocking an eyebrow in Lourdes’ direction. “Are you listening to me?”
