Chapter 7!
I slid into my tight dress, and wondered what Louis would think of me in it. I looked in my full-length mirror, and was pleased with the dress; it clung to my body in all the right ways. Sean was sprawled out on my bed, playing on his phone, the excitement of us getting dressed in the same room had dulled long ago. Now, it was just natural. Too natural. * Our fingers were interlocked as we headed through the front door of the host’s house. Sean walked off to his mates, and I searched the room for a familiar face. I spotted a figure opening the fridge door and was certain it was Louis. I made my way over; careful not to stumble in my heels. I tapped him on the shoulder, and when he turned around I realised it wasn’t Louis. My stomach dropped. “Uh, sorry, I thought yo- He had already slid past me for me to finish my sentence. I sighed in frustration, and then I heard a familiar chuckle from behind me, bringing a smile to my lips. I spun around to see Louis leaning against the doorway, raising his blue and white striped top. I spun back around to the fridge and grabbed two cans of beer, chucking one at Louis, only to get it chucked back at me. I cocked my eyebrows up, questioning him. “Not tonight, thanks,” Louis smiled. “Whatever you say, Lou!” I cracked my can open, chugging it down, probably not the most attractive look, but tonight I didn’t care.
I chugged down numerous cans throughout the night, and by midnight I was stumbling around on the dance floor, grinding against Sean who was also highly intoxicated. Our hands were wandering all over each other, thankfully nobody could see over the strobe light.
Suddenly, I was yanked away from the dance floor by Sean and led to his car. I knew what was coming, and I didn’t want it to. Sean jumped in the driver’s side, and me over onto his lap so I was facing him. His hands wandered over my waist and lips sucked on my neck. “Kiss me.” He ordered, pulling my lips to his. His alcohol breath flooded me and made me feel claustrophobic. “Stop teasing me,” Sean slurred, as I tried to pull away from him. Suddenly all the alcohol was washed from me and taken over by adrenalin. “I want to go back to the party.” I said bluntly. “It’ll only take ten minutes, babe. That dress is way too sexy for me to resist.” Sean winked, and pulled me closer. “I don’t want to.” I said abruptly. “Get over yourself Claire, you think you’re too good for me, huh?” Sean slurred, throwing his hands over his head. “Sean, you don’t know what you’re doing, you’re drunk. Take me home.” “Whatever Claire.” Sean pushed me out off his car. “Slut!” He yelled out of his window, as he sped off and tears streamed down my cheeks.
Louis’ POV I walked out of the door to get some fresh air when I saw it. Sean pushed Claire out of his car, and sped off yelling out his window. Claire’s dress was halfway up her ass, and her shoulders were shaking. I walked up behind her slowly, unsure of what to do or say. I still had my full beer can in my hand. “Claire…” I whispered. “What do you want?” She spun around and spat at me. “Are you okay?” “Does it look like I’m fucking okay?” Claire walked up to me and said bitterly to me, our lips daringly close. She glared me up and down, and spotted the can in my hand. Snatching it out of my grasp, she swigged the whole thing down in one mouthful. Claire stumbled slightly as the alcohol pulsed through her, quickly taking effect. “I think I should take you home…” I said quietly.
“Oh really? You’re going to tell me what I can and can’t do?” Claire slurred, eyelids fluttering begging to be closed. “Well, let me tell you, I want to party!” Claire poked me in the chest. Claire stumbled into the house and I followed closely behind her making sure nothing happened to her. The first boy she saw, she grabbed him by the neck pulling him close and whispered something in his ear making him frown. I knew it was something inappropriate and he obviously wasn’t drunk enough to accept it. Claire made her way over to the dance floor and suddenly I lost sight of her in the swarm of people. Then, there was a loud thud and huge gasp from the surrounding people. I knew it was her as when I got closer to the now circulated body, I heard people murmuring her name. I pushed through and picked her up bridal style, carrying her out to my car. Claire’s POV I woke up and stretched my legs out to the end of the bed, reaching a hard, cold end board. It was then I realised I wasn’t in my own bed. I looked up from the dark duvet, and the fastness of my movements soon went straight to my head, making it spin. I darted my eyes around the room trying to remember how I got there. I looked down, and saw a boy’s oversized t-shirt. I didn’t recognize it as Sean’s; I knew what shirts he had… I knew what his room looked like! I began to worry; I was only in my underwear and the t-shirt, no bra… who dressed me? Where was I? I heard the clattering of plates downstairs, and the sunlight peered through the window. I knew it was too of a dull light to still be the morning; it must be early afternoon. I arose slowly from the bed and began to pace around the room, looking for something familiar to determine where I was and more importantly whose bed I was in! Just as I was looking through some papers on the old wooden desk in the corner of the room, there was a light knock at the door. The unforgettable face of Louis peered around the door. He looked me up and down and realised I was still covered in just the t-shirt.
“Sorry, I was just uh…” he looked away, “bringing some tea.” He held out a steaming mug, still looking away. “Louis it’s fine, you can come in.” “Oh, um okay.” he said, still avoiding eye contact. I took the mug from his hand, and snuggled myself back into the bed, resting my head against the headboard. I beckoned for Louis to come and sit with me and he made his way over, also coming under the covers. I had to ask him what happened last night. “What’s the time?” I asked, peering at him through the corner of my eyes. My mouth itching to ask him. “About 12.30.” I was right. The question lingered on my tongue. “Hey Lou, we didn’t like… do anything last night right? I mean, in here?” He didn’t answer. My stomach lurched. He gulped. No, no we didn’t. Did we? Sean? What happened last night?
