Aw, Zayn was such a sweetheart, and there is no reason to think that he’s become a different person just because we don’t see him interacting on a stage. We fans make all these assumptions about him because he went through a bad time and now he’s a ghost, but character doesn’t change. Louis himself said he lacked confidence, and that’s a better, kinder explanation of why he seemed to engage less with the crowd. Niall, Harry, and (often drunk after a certain point by his own telling) Liam were better at working the crowd, no doubt, but meanwhile Zouis were propping each other up and encouraging each other. Louis did the same for Zayn, always complimenting his vocals. I don’t want to shut down discourse about Louis onstage but it has to be in context doesn’t it.
