"Next time you're sleeping in my bed in my house. This twin sized bed is shit." Louis rolled over to find a very disgruntled Rufus very close to his face. Due to the lack of space, their bodies were touching more than usual. Rufus was laying on the side closest to the wall. Louis must have looked confused because Rufus's face dissolved from annoyed to sad. "It's just a memory, Lou..." he said, reaching to trail his hand into Louis's hair. He seemed mesmerized by it. Like his old self... the self he wasn't anymore. "This isn't real.." Louis admitted. Rufus wasn't really in his room, because they were both at school in their separate dorm rooms. This whole scene was like the day he came over after having a breakdown. Louis had admitted that he wanted Rufus, and it changed their whole relationship forever. How could someone so beautiful and talented not realize he was wanted?
"Don't lose faith in me, promise me! I'm still here..." Rufus whispered, his eyes full of fear, but his image was fading contorting into something darker. Something he had turned into. Louis let out a gasp, rolling till he hit the floor, pushing himself away from the bed, till he hit his dresser. When he looked up, Rufus wasn't alone. The Borgins were with him, then they faded turning into Eska into Zalina. Zalina let out a giggle, "I always like breaking in the young ones..." she said, caressing his face. His eyes were dark, so unlike the bright blue that Louis had fallen in love with. Then Eska spoke, "He's ours now... to do our bidding. He'd kill for us..." her voice sent chills down his spine. The scene changed to an abandon warehouse, images of bodies of people he knew. Tifa, his family, several others rifled through the rotation, until it landed on his face, his body. Tied up, dead. Louis let out a sob, pinching himself to wake up but he couldn't. It wasn't stopping.
"Louis!" Rufus screamed his name. Louis closed his eyes for a second, trying to get rid of the sound of Rufus's broken, scared screams. When he opened them, he was back in the graveyard, and the fear, the brokenness of being traumatized and tortured passed through him again. "Don't you fucking touch him!" "Leave them alone!" Phrases and screams, things he had thought he had buried deep down inside, surfaced as he stared up at Rufus on that table. It was like he was a ghost, watching himself and his friends being tortured, watching Rufus and Dick having injections and their memories erased. He recalled the last look on Rufus's face of desperation and fear, before his mind was wiped, before he himself blacked out. They had made him watch his boyfriend being turned into a monster. "No, no, no, no, no... please go away. Just make it stop." Louis whimpered, placing his head in his hands.
He opened his eyes just in time to see Rufus stab him with a dagger as he said the words, “I’ll make it stop.” He didn't understand why he saw it but the name Rosier stuck out to him on the handle of the dagger, as he coughed up blood. His body slid to the floor, and the old Rufus was back staring at his blood stained hands. "Fuck... no... NO! Lou, please don't leave me. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Lou...please. I can’t lose you too.” As Rufus said those words a pile of bodies lay out on the floor. As he lay there bleeding out, he closed his eyes, only to find himself jerking awake covered in a cold sweat.
An arm was around his waist, a body beside him groaning as he too woke up. Rufus blinked sleep out of his eyes. “Did you have that dream again...?” the worry was in his voice. Louis laid back down, trying to steady his heartbeat. It was beating so loud he swore that Rufus probably heard it too. “You had to save yourself before you could save me.” Rufus’s words startled him, he wasn’t expecting that. He rolled to his side, facing Rufus. “What?” he asked, not understanding. “You’ll figure it out, you’re too smart not too.  Although I think I’m more attracted to your body, brains is just a perk.” Rufus said with a smirk. “Don’t look so sour, Lou, that’s my job. We’ll have this moment some day. You’ll see.” he told him, pulling him pressing his lips to his. The dream faded as a loud knock hit his dresser outside of his four poster bed. “Upsie daisy, Weasley. We got a game to win. If you don’t have your head in the game and cause us to lose again, I will personally shove my foot up your ass. Let’s go! On the pitch in 20!”
