Re: winning, I do a lot of "I struggle with communication due to disability issues; can I email you instead of having to phone you again?" and "please adjust to fit me!"
I need to try to get my dissertation supervisor to do more stuff by email because she really likes face to face consultations but I am a lot worse at actually having productive discussions about work than I look face to face, but *hides face in hands, flops onto bed.* I'm scared by the prospect of doing it, I think. The builder is responsible for his own hydration and nourishment. He's being paid to be there, it's his job, and tea is an optional bonus on longer jobs. For a short job like a door replacement hydration is totally no big deal.
He took a while over the door, but he had his own stuff in the van, I surmise from how he took his lunch break.
However, he only brought us two keys. Four people live in this house, three are resident at the moment. The landlord's ordered some more but they'll arrive tomorrow at the earliest, which means we've been one key down for four days. It's been fun (not).
