In “Lost River Road”, you play as Yuri Phoenix, a 15 year old artist/gamer living in the town of Lost River, in 1990. The game starts on the last day of Freshman Class at Lost River High. Yuri is excited to get home to open his new Venus Gaming System that he’s getting for performing so well academically this past year. His best friend, Jonas, who lives across town, is staying the weekend with him, so they can play together. Little do they know their dreams of gaming all summer would be overshadowed by a very dark deed, indeed.

“Now you’re Playing with Wonder!”

(VGS) comes with a bundle of games: 

Zarkon’s Gauntlet: A 2-player co-op side scrolling brawler, where you team up with a friend to save your father, the Mayor of Ultrex City, from a gang of terrorists led by Commander Zarkon. Your SWAT skills, specializing in both hand to hand and ranged weapons, are what set you apart from Zarkon’s forces, and will ensure a hero’s victory. Can you get past, Zarkon’s Gauntlet?!?

Starcruisers: A 2-player co-op starship side scrolling shooter, where you can upgrade and level your character and starships, unlocking the Aoi Fighter, where the two starships merge into one super starship battle cruiser. One player as pilot, both on weapons, defending the Titan Satellite from stellar debris and Space Pirates. “Starcruisers! Form Aoi Fighter!”

Castle Chronos: A 1v1 turn based dueling game similar to chess, where if you’re lucky, you can use time to take back moves. Upgrade your defenses, or mount an assault. The point being to break down your opponent’s fortifications and defeat their troops, raising their castle to the ground. “Conquer, or Fall.”

And the most anticipated day one game for the VGS, it’s flagship title: Goddess of Wonders, a single player action-rpg set in the mythical realm of Avalon. This is the game kids have been yearning to play since the VGS was announced. In it, you play Ouna, Goddess of Wonders. She is attempting to climb the treacherous Path of Penitence, up the cliffs of Mt. Eos to save her father, Ronin who is possessed by the spirit of the Sorceress, Xiseth. You’ll fight against her sinister forces, along with a menagerie of Legendary Creatures unleashed when Xiseth used Ronin to open Pandora’s Box. Ouna promises to perform Wonderous deeds the further you level her; boys and girls everywhere couldn’t wait to see her adventures unfold. “Now you’re playing with Wonder!”

These games, and subsequent games that release during the course of the Main Game Storyline Quest, would be fully playable and beatable within the main game. 

But as hinted above, gaming won’t be all Yuri finds himself doing over summer break. Something happens that brings about a fundamental change in the town of Lost River, rocking the community to it’s core.
