She recognised her. A vague thought in her head, a vague incline that she couldn’t get rid of. She had spent a long, long time away from the people she had known, which meant that almost all of her memories had been pushed to the back of her mind. She had different things to focus on, if she was being honest. But there was something about the character before her that made her pause.

It had been a long time since Dark had seen her old friend. Yet here she was. Great timing too, since she’d only just regenerated not too long ago.

Missy wasn’t much of a drinker, if the truth was to be known. Sure, she enjoyed a glass of fine champagne at various villain events over the year, but she rarely indulged in much more than that. Drinking made you careless and clumsy and vulnerable, it was best to leave that to other people.

Tonight...or was it still morning? Well, it didn’t really matter, she had a time machine- she had broken her golden rule about indulgent drinking. Walking down the road, she clung to a bottle of hyper vodka and took another long swig.
