16, 20, and 23 for whichever oc you want?
I'm answering all of these asks for Delle (aka lost bow) as she's the only one I don't have the full custody yet (most of these ocs were made with my partner @samuelandthesun). Whenever I do the oc masterpost I'll get them to write about them too or answer asks, but given that we're both really busy I'll just answer for my girl (she's the coolest actually so it's actually cool)
16) How's their relationship with their parents? Are they alive?
I already answered this one for Fernweh, Delle's adopted parent. However, although Delle has just met him, she technically has a step dad: Yuggo.
I, Hylian, knew that Yuggo was a character that existed and was Fernweh's tragic lover- They were married, but, due to Fernweh and Yuggo's differences of ideals, Yuggo left her for another deity (they still love each other, they are just to stubborn to recognize that they miss each other). That's why, the first time Yuggo appear in one of our D&D games, I was so excited because it was the first time Yuggo and Delle would meet. None of them knew of the other's existance- Delle had her own theories about Fernweh and their mysterious partner, although she thought it was probably dead; while Yuggo had no idea Fernweh had daughters.
At first, I thought I wasn't going to be able to talk to him- One of my co-players was the only one who had entered the room, and it seemed that the rest of us would just continue. However, the rest of the party entered, and we started talking to him. Delle, my character, is really perceptive, so I decided to roll an insight check to see if I would notice anything off and I got A NATURAL 20 ON THE DICE (with a +6 bonus, mind you). My DM rolled an insigh check for him and THEY ALSO ROLLED A NAT 20. There was only a probability of 1 OUT OF 400 for that to happen! (That's why for art fight I drew them together)
All of this to say that Delle and Yuggo's relationship is really complicated: they're both similar in the way they are Really Fucking Struggling with the state of the world and how they fit into that system, and they have a similar way of facing problems (upfront and maybe not thinking much about the consequences of their actions). However, Delle is too similar to Fernweh personality-wise, something that will make them clash. Developing Delle and Yuggo's relationship is something I'm really looking forward to :] (as I totally showed with all this rambling fsadhgfsdfad)
20) If they fight, what's their weapon of choice?
Delle does fight! 20 years ago, she was a bard, so her main weapon was an old viola Fernweh gifted her. However, she changed her class to a ranger, so now she uses a melee weapon: a bow. I'm adding a picture of her and her bow (I love this drawing so much, this is just an excuse).
23) Is your OC reliable? Can I call them up at two in the morning if I have a flat tire?
She is, 100%. One of Delle's main characteristics is that she is (dangerously) ride or die for her loved ones. Some (said loved ones) might say she is too ride or die, as there has been times where Delle has hurt herself so that Fernweh and Fantatxia would be safer. Still, it doesn't matter if you know her or not, or what struggles you have- Delle would at the very least lend you a hand that would probably end in a heart-to-heart and a drink afterwards. That's how she build her drag house, and she has 5 drag kids already!
