I've been bingewatching Lost recently and Ben is by far the funniest lil guy
struggling a bit combine my style with realism but whateveeeer
I sometimes think about Michael Emerson saying in interviews people would come up to him in the street and tell him he’d ruined the show because now there was a villain it was no longer just Hot People On A Beach
To quote Michael: “What show did you think you were watching?”
Benjamin Linus is like this because he got bitten by a radioactive Pinocchio
Im watching LOST for the first time in my life and this show is freaking awesome !
I really love the character of Ben so here is a little fanart of him ! ~

You all probably already know this, but...
In episode 20 of season 3, Roger says that Ben was born during the seventh month of Emily’s pregnancy, that’s why they were in the forest, because they couldn’t plan that he would go out so soon. So he is born two months earlier than he should have. He is born on December 19th, right? so he is a Sagittarius.
But when Locke visits him on the beach and says “I want to ask you something”, he replies, as a kind of joke, “I’m a Pisces”.
Ben basically denies his true birth date. However, is own birthday is really important to Ben, we know that. And maybe I overthought this reply, but.... Ben’s life of horror, murders and guiltiness has a beginning, this simple thing, the death of his mother. And Roger constantly reminds Ben, by not wishing him his birthday, that this is his fault, that he killed his mother. Ben maybe declares he is a Pisces because he doesn’t want to be born on December 19th, the day he “killed” his mother, and because he can’t find another way to escape the life he has on the island, a killer’s life.
There is some kind of hope in this reply, the hope that maybe, in another timeline, another life where his mother wouldn’t have died, he would have been a better man. This is what he says during Locke’s funerals, that he could never be a good man as Locke was (and, sorry, but Locke wasn’t that much of a good person, so Ben kinda despise himself (or has really low standards)).
And I’m happy to see that, indeed, without the island, he would have been a good person.
Not as good as I planned, but here, have a Benjamin Linus!!
(oups i did it again)
