The pendant is hallmarked sterling hecho en Mexico m within a C with Taxco underneath and what looks like eagle #3. Melendez started as a silversmith for Spratling. He went to work for Los Castillo in the early 1940's and eventually worked for Margot. He left Margot in the mid 1930's.
