"A lot of her early supports are uncomfortable in a way I actually appreciate, because she doesn’t come across as 'cute shy', she comes across as someone who expects very little from life and even less from herself, and that changes the whole energy around her. Then, as you spend more time with her, you start seeing the parts of her that are warm, observant, and genuinely kind, and it makes the whole arc of her opening up feel much more meaningful. She’s one of those characters where the development is not flashy, but it really lands if you care about the smaller shifts in how someone talks, trusts, and starts to imagine a future for themselves."

"nobody does first impressions to long-term attachment quite like he does. like yes at the start he is A Lot. he is pompous, he is weird, he is saying things that make you put your head in your hands, and i love him for that honestly. because then the more you get to know him the more you realise there is actual sincerity underneath all that ridiculous noble posturing. he really DOES care about what it means to lead well!! he really IS trying!! he’s just incredibly awkward and has the social instincts of a haunted peacock. and that is charming to ME. i’m sorry. i love a man who starts off unbearable and becomes weirdly lovable without ever fully stopping being kind of ridiculous"

"lorenz is one of those characters where i ended up way more attached than i expected to. at first i was just laughing at him constantly, which to be fair is still part of the experience, but then after a while i was like oh no wait i actually like this guy. he’s very silly and very formal and kind of a disaster socially, but he’s also one of the more genuinely thoughtful characters once you get past the initial nonsense. and i think that combo is what makes him work so well. he can be funny and frustrating and surprisingly sincere all in the same support chain, which is honestly a great character recipe"

So I let him play with the plushie because he really likes it, but I'm always really nervous about him because as sweet as he is he's a two year old who's favorite hobby is throwing various objects at walls. Tonight I let him hold it while watching a movie, then halfway through set it back on my bed so that he didn't get it messy during dinner.

Movie finishes, time for bed. Helping get the kids ready and realize that he's still waddling around frantically. I tell him it's time to go to bed. He bursts into tears and says clear as day "I lost Lorenz!" which is really fucking insane considering how much he mumbles.

I FORGOT TO TELL HIM I PUT IT UP ON THE BED AND HE SPENT LIKE TEN MINUTES LOOKING FOR IT. HE'S LIKE TWO YEARS OLD AND SPENT TEN MINUTES TRYING TO FIND HIM.
