Letâs talk skincare! One of my favourite topics itâs very personal to me as well as my business. I have always had a passion for skincare from a young age and a topic that I can talk for hours, literally no joke! haha. So letâs get right into it!
My current routine is a mixture of products Loreal Men Expert, Nivea Men Simple and Garnier. These products work for my skin at the moment. Yes, I do normally have a serum but at the time of this blog mine run out. I also believe there isnât a serum from the Loreal Men Expert range. (Hint Hint). However, what I tend to use is the revive & replenish serums by Keihlâs these are great products, I find they work on all skin types as well which is great.
So, my cleansers I use are Nivea men sensitive face wash if I want something a little deeper cleansing I will use Loreal Men Expert, black charcoal wash from their Hydra Energetic range. The face wash is my everyday cleanser, I love it as itâs very gentle on the skin feels great, makes my skin have the âcleasnedâ feeling and the fact itâs soap free, YESS, please. I know from experience anything with soap just drys out my skin and I look and feel like the desert, not a good look!Â
My current moisturiser is the Loreal men expert all in 1 post and face care moisturising cream. I find myself going back to this the texture is a little heavier I find from their other moisturisers but I like this at this time of year I like my creams to be heavy as I know they will work better. Itâs alcohol-free so guys itâs great for using after a close shave. My only down fall is the amount I also find that I am going through them quite quickly.
I currently using the eye balm from Simple. This is a great product you do not need to use a lot little does go a long way, and the light texture is great for the morning and doesn't feel like bricks under the eyes. It has multivitamins and skin loving ingredients which help to reduce puffiness, wind down and relax your tired eyes. For the evening I use a slightly heavier texture and focus more on texture and lines.
Oh, shaving now fellas, you will feel me when I say this is the most pain in the butt thing to do as a guy. If my beard actually grew a beard then maybe I would let it grow, haha. There is something my pops says to me when the beard topic gets brought up. He says to me âYour beard will grow when your hair on your head stopsâ Haha, love you pops!
Anyway, the products Iâm currently using are the shave revolution and the post-shave splash from their Hydra range. Fellas, I can not recommend these products enough. The shaving gel is clear so you can see where youâre placing on your face. Has a cold feeling to the skin, burns sensation extinguisher, Anti-irritation shield and soothes and hydrates your skin. The post-shave splash is literally like putting water over your face it has a refreshing feel, 24hr hydration and it really soothes your skin from irritation.Â
Lips! Oh boy, I do not know how many products I have gone through to find that great lip balm. Well, I have now! I use two products the Carmex and Blistex relief cream. I tend to use the Blistex in the kind of weather conditions we are currently having I feel it gives my lips that protective barrier. I layer the Carmex and is my everyday lip balm, I like how it feels on the lips it is not sticky and I have just discovered a new flavour peach & mango burst, yummy!
Now, as you know working in the beauty industry you come across new products pretty much every day there is always something new to try out, right!
I came across this little gem the Garnier moisture boom tissue mask from a friend of mine and I also saw on Instagram so it caught my attention and for a good reason. This mask is PURE hydration guys so much so that it actually says on the packaging that 1 mask = 1 week of hydrating serum, erm, YESS please I will have some of that! Plus the bonus was the price (I donât know now) it was selling for a ÂŁ1 yes a ÂŁ1 so of course, I bought a fair amount (Roughly 3-8, I think) so I was able to really experience the benefits. When you open the product you get a mask which is just full of serum make sure the blue side is facing away from you. Place on the face and leave for 15 minutes and then BOOM you have super hydrated skin. I believe you can purchase these from Boots.
I would say that you will find that they are very generous with the product so donât panic just rub the excess into your skin.
Fellas, I would recommend your beard very short to clean shaven to actually experience the full benefits. And that is a wrap!Â
