I'm taking Villain!Robert in a MUCH darker direction than Villain! Waterboy because I truly don't think Herman has it in him to go full Punisher.
And this isn't a slight on him. Herman is absolutely badass and dangerous but it's on his own terms. Just these little bits of him we get to see in game paint a picture for me -
Herman is a man who will bottle things up until something terrible happens and he explodes. He is absolutely capable of killing someone. But he hurls a chair through a vending machine and INSTANTLY sobers. He apologizes. Softens. He even cleans it up 😭🥺
Now. Robert. Lmao
He bites a dude's thumb off. You have the option to headbutt a reporter. So many of his options let you start a fight. His eyes go DEAD when he's pushed enough. And you also get the option to kill Shroud, and as an achievement hunter I have done that run and Robert is *feral* when he does it.
Herman's anger comes from a place of caring so much about things that it hurts him.
Robert's comes from a place of being so fucking sick of hurting he wants to eliminate the source of the pain.
So Villain!Robert is not going to be a very nice guy at first. He has a lot of walls up, and they're made of tungsten. But he is still him. Somewhere in there.
